Please note the following when importing charts from Maia Mechanics Imaging (MMI): MMI uses the ACS Atlas for timezone conversion, while this site uses the TZ Database (read more about why we switched to the TZ Database here). However, to avoid unnecessary import issues related to the conversion from ACS to TZ, the import process recalculates all charts using an online, up-to-date ACS Atlas. The result should be a seamless import experience, but you can expect some imported charts to be flagged.
A flagged chart will generally indicate a difference in time zone between the original and recalculated chart. The most likely reason for this difference is that the chart was created with an out-of-date MMI, and the ACS Atlas has since been updated (the ACS Atlas releases time zone updates each year, and on occasion, there are historical changes). Other reasons for a flagged chart can include missing or unreadable birth locations or errors that originated within MMI, for example, during chart creation or file exportation.
To view all flagged charts, open the library, click "Filter Charts," then "Import," then "Flagged."
To remove a flag, open the chart, edit the birth data, and press "Update Chart" (note that this will convert the imported chart from the ACS Atlas to TZ Database).
Lost and Found charts represent a unique case where users of MMI experienced a loss of charts within the application, usually entire folders. Importing an MMI database will uncover those charts. To view all lost and found charts, open the library, click "Filter Charts," then "Import," then "Lost and Found."
Failed imports could result from as-of-yet unavailable chart types (DreamRave, Penta, BG5, etc.).
