Saving charts locally for offline access

Updated over 3 months ago

If you're expecting a limited internet connection, you can optionally save charts locally to a device for offline access. This will allow you to open a chart and view all relevant data through the browser on your device while offline.

Note that saving multiple charts locally can result in slower login and syncing speeds, which is why this is an optional feature.

To save a chart locally, you can

  1. Open the chart under Properties, click on Document, and turn on "Save chart locally for offline access."

  2. This saves the chart locally for access through the application while offline, either by leaving the app open in the browser or installing the app on their computer via Chrome. This feature does not export/download chart data to your device.

To remove a chart from your local device, reverse the above steps.

The following features should function while offline:

  • View a simplified version of your library

  • Load charts saved for offline access

  • See chart properties

  • Read I’Ching texts

  • Change view modes and settings

An internet connection is required to create new personal, connection, transit, and cycle charts and to edit or update existing charts.

Future features

If you desire a feature for offline mode, for example, the ability to create connection charts or view cycle charts associated with saved charts, please let us know.
